Frank Worthington Frank Worthington arrived from Huddersfield
in 1972 after a medical test failure at Liverpool.
Jimmy Bloomfield took the chance Bill Shankly
didn't, and Jimmy never regretted it. As we all
know there was no fear since Frank played
proffesional football until he was more than 40.
He build up a great understanding with Leicester
winger Keith Weller and they became a faired
partnership during the mid 70's with Leicester.
In 1974 Joe Mercer called up Frank for full
England duty and he made his debut against
N. Ireland in the Home International. He left
Leicester after five years at Filbert Street.
Bolton became his next employer but his
career after Leicester became a nomadic
life in football.
